Notes - I first met Jamie over ten years ago, for a short while we served together on the committee of the British cichlid association, our friendship outlasted our working relationship and Jamie is an aquarist and friend that i think very highly of!
Jamie at the time of these pictures (2011) was chairman of Sheaf Valley aquarist society and had the club doing very well! i had already attended several of their auctions and Jamie invited me to a club meeting on a monday evening to give a talk to the club, a club member called Mark Fairest very kindly offered me a room for the night and i was driven to Jamie's fishroom before the club meeting, we had an hour or so to have a close look at BOTH of Jamies fishrooms! Yes, he has two!! The first one shown was located in a concrete section garage behind the house, this measured roughly 12x15ft? and held a series of large cube tanks holding both smaller fish and some really good sized catfish and cichlids, the larger tanks along the opposite wall were 6ft and held large groups of cichlids, from memory i can remember several Geophagus species, Satanoperca sp, Guinacara sp, Rainbowfish etc.. This room also held a show winning Maskaheros argenteus which was huge and in perfect condition, plus a large lungfish! there was a Betta rack with high quality Bettas and many others!
The second room was newly completed and was very neat, tidy and large! I wont spoil it for you here, have a look at the pictures below!
