Notes - Harry is a great friend of mine, we share mutual friends and i was introduced to him during a Preston convention, Harry travels a long way to support our club and we have been meeting on a yearly basis ever since. In 2016 i was invited to Edinburgh to speak at Harry's club, West Lothian aquarist society and plans were made for me to spend a few days in Scotland. Harry and his beautiful wife Margaret very kindly put me up in their home and acted as my guide to the area, i had ample opportunity to spend time in Harrys wonderful fishroom, at that time (2016) he was housing mainly dwarf cichlids and had amassed a large collection of rarely seen and very beautiful species. The fishroom was neat, compact and well thought out, Harry has been an aquarist for many, many years and his experience shows in everything that he does, he has completed breeders award schemes, was a senior judge for many years and has traveled extensively for his hobby including collecting trips to Uruguay.

I really enjoyed my trip to Scotland and most of that enjoyment is due to the wonderful reception that i received from Harry and Margaret and the opportunity to spend some quality time in his home and fishroom. I will always be grateful for the hospitality shown and the friendship we share.
